Made an Agreement on the Jeju Coastal Wind Power Project with KEPCO E&C



 
Civil Works division of Daelim Industrial made an agreement on the Jeju Costal Wind Power Project with KEPCO E&C at the headquarters of KEPCO E&C in Yongin on May 26. Vice chairman Jong-In Kim, vice president Dong-Soo Kim, managing director Seong-Yoon Park, head of SOC business team Tae-Gu Kang and major staff members attended the signing ceremony. This project is to build Korea’s largest coastal wind power generation project with a capacity of 102MW in Suwon-ri, Hanrip-eup, Jeju-do, in which a total of KRW450 billion will be invested until 2013.

KEPCO E&C will engage in most project processes including basic study, development and maintenance, and Daelim will conduct the construction of coastal wind power generators. At the ceremony, KEPCO E&C’s CEO Seung-Kyoo An said, “Our cooperation will lead us to become a front runner in the coastal wind power market at home and abroad.”

Daelim’s CEO Jong-In Kim also delivered a message, “The Jeju Coastal Wind Power project will be a solid foundation for us to develop new growth engines in the fields of new and renewable energy and environment-friendly projects. Based on our world’s top-class technologies for bridges, we pledge to successfully complete this project.”
