The Philippines’ Pagbilao project (420MM CFPP Unit 3) completed all test runs and started commercial operations. The project kicked off in December 2014, and the first commercial electric power began to be produced after about 4 years and 2 months.

The project sought to expand the power generation capacity of the existing 735MW coal-fired thermal power plant located in Pagbilao, Philippines. The project was ordered by Pagbilao Energy, which was established through 50% investment each by Philippine energy company Aboitiz Power Corporation and Team Energy, a joint venture between Japan’s Marubeni and Tokyo Electric Power Holdings.
