Some 50 employees of the Daelim Group (Daelim, Korea Development Corporation, and Samho) conducted activities for the House Repair of Hope on May 16 by visiting Changshin-dong, Jongro-gu, Seoul. Daelim has engaged in such activities each year since 2005 together with the Seoul Chapter of Habitat for Humanity Korea.

Despite the heavy rain, employees visited 4 homes of disabled people and elderly people living alone in Changshin-dong. They replaced linoleum and wallpaper contaminated with fungi and damaged by water leak, performed insulation work, and newly installed windows and doors and LED lights. The employees also changed worn-out furniture with the ones they assembled using the used chests of drawers, sink, tables, and chairs they bought.

“The fruit of volunteer service seems to be bigger, as we serve on a rainy day. We will constantly participate in the community residential environment improvement project as a construction company,” said Daelim CEO Park Sang-shin, who also participated in the activities.
