The Philippine’s SBPL 500MW CFPP site successfully achieved power receiving, one of the major processes involving receiving power from an external power network, on April 27, 21:00; thus completing the preparation for test run.

This project involved building an additional new 500MW power plant in a coal-powered thermal power plant located in Mauban, Philippines. The power plant is built as an ultra-super critical pressure* power plant for the first time in the Philippines. Daelim carries out the project as an EPC lump sum turnkey type, taking charge of design, purchase, construction, and test run. The process rate is currently 85%, and commercial operation is scheduled for September 2019.

* Ultra super critical pressure: A method of increasing the operation steam condition of boilers and turbines beyond water’s critical point, has higher economic efficiency than existing power plants.
