Daelim CEO Kim Dong-su was awarded the Grand Prize in Civil Engineering and Culture of Songsan Awards (technology sector) during the 14th awarding ceremony held at Westin Chosun Hotel on September 11, 2015. Daelim CEO Kim bagged the grand prize for letting the world know about Korea’s technological capabilities through civil engineering technology improvement such as special bridge technology and competitions with advanced companies.

The award was founded through the contribution of private property by late civil engineer Kim Hyung-ju to the Korean Society of Civil Engineers for the development of civil engineering technology. The prize winners in the civil engineering and press/media sectors are also selected each year. “I will continually discover new businesses globally, implement businesses successfully, and consequently contribute to civil engineering development and offer opportunities for junior civil engineers to exert their abilities fully in the world markets,” CEO Kim said after accepting the prize at the awarding ceremony.
