SEP sSBR Project site achieving mechanical completion

The SEP sSBR Project (Saudi Elastomers Project Solution Styrene Butadiene Rubber Project) site received a mechanical completion certificate from client KEMYA on August 26. The project involves renovating the PBR production facility of KEMYA plant in Al-Jubail to produce 60,000 tons of PBR (Poly Butadiene Rubber) and 40,000 tons of SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) annually.

Although it is a very difficult project involving the construction of new facilities while plant operations were ongoing, the site complied with the scheduled construction period of 28 months following the commencement of the project in May 2016 and successfully achieved mechanical completion.
