Entered the commercial complex thermal power generation business
Daelim Industrial Co., Ltd. entered the commercial complex thermal power generation business with an eye toward promoting the energy generation business as a key future growth engine. Accordingly, Daelim signed a financial contract on the Pocheon Thermal Power Plant Project worth about KRW1,171.5 billion with 14 domestic financial institutions including KDB at Millennium Hilton Hotel on December 29, 2010. The Pocheon Thermal Power Plant Project will be managed by Pocheon Power Co. established in July, 2008. The Construction Business Division will take part in the project as an investor and a builder. The power plant will consist of two LNG complex thermal power generation units and be able to generate a total of 1,560MW, the biggest volume as a private commercial complex thermal power plant in Korea. Through this project, Daelim will seek to strengthen its EPC competitiveness in the power plant sector and to secure KRW1.5 trillion in annual sales and stable profits as part of obtaining new growth engines.
