Completed the Kayan PC Project of Saudi Arabia

The mechanical completion of Saudi Kayan PC project to build four plants (EC/DMC, DPC, PC/DPC Tankfarm, PC) was achieved and turned over to the project owner Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company. This project had started in February 2007.
In commemoration of the completion, a ceremony was held at the SABIC Ballroom of Intercontinental Hotel in Jubayl, Saudi Arabia, on July 21. VIPs including Mr. Salamah Al-Suwaid (SABIC E&PM Mega Projects GM), Mr. Abdulrahman A. Al-Basri (Saudi Kayan Project GM), Mr. Moghram Al-Shehri (Saudi Kayan Project GM), Yoon Kim, President & CEO in the Overseas Plant Division of Daelim, Hong-Chun Park, an executive officer, and Yoon-Seop Kim, a managing director were in attendance and celebrated the perfect completion with 43 million man-hour safety.

This project was to build the world’s largest polycarbonate production plants with a total volume of 260 thousand tons per year in the Al-Jubayl Complex in Saudi Arabia. Contracts for construction design, procurement and project management had been initially made in February 2007, and main construction was added in May 2008. Finally, this project has been implemented by the EPC lump sum turnkey base with a total amount of US$1.35 billion. Today, Daelim is carrying out 6 projects worth total US$5 billion in Saudi Arabia, the largest plant market in the Middle East.
