On June 10, 2010, Daelim received a letter of agreement (LOA) from Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) for construction of the fourth LPG Train, a gas facility with a value of USD 900 million (KRW 96.6 billion). The actual contract for 36 months of construction work will be completed in June.
This project was ordered by the KNPC, Kuwait's state-run refining division, for construction of a new gas facility (a fourth LPG Train) at Mina Al Ahmadi, 40km from Kuwait City. The facility will treat 805 million cubic feet per day (cfd) of natural gas supplied from existing facilities and 106,300 barrels per day (bpd) of condensate to produce ethane, propane and butane.
Daelim will execute this project as through the Engineering, Procurement and Construction Lump Sum Turn Key (EPC LSTK) method, which covers design, procurement and construction.
