On June 5, Daelim Industrial. Co., Ltd., (Daelim) won a $260 million contract to build a crude oil transfer facility, commissioned by the state-run corporate Kuwait Oil Company.

After submitting the bid in December, 2006, Daelim was selected as the most optimal bidder, receiving the LOA (Letter of Award) on May 28, 2007.

On June 5 (6pm, Korean time), in Kuwait City, Daelim made a package deal contract with the attendance of the vice president of the Daelim overseas project, Yoon Kim, the chairman of Kuwait Oil Company, Al-Zan Ki, and the Korean ambassador to Kuwait, Kun Ho Song.

This project is to replace the old 60 kilometer oil pipeline, connected from the south oil storage tank to the north storage tank in Magwa, Kuwait.

In the current year 2007 alone, Daelim has received $2.12 billion contracts (the largest on record) of overseas plants in the Middle East and South East Asia, including the $1 billion contract for the petrochemical plant construction in Kayan, Saudi Arabia, in February.
