Daelim has signed the contract for Effluent Water Disposal Plants in south-east Kuwait fields amounting USD 203 Million with Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) on the basis of Lumpsum Turnkey last 1st of April.
These plants will be constructed in Magwa and Burgan respectively and total capacity of treating water is 1,048 MBWPD(Metric Barrel Water Per Day). Effluent water gathered from 14 Gathering Centers, North Tank Farm and South Tank Farm will be treated in EWDP-1 (Magwa area) & EWDP-1 (Burgan area) and eventually treated water will be distributed to 12 wells through well headers. The Magwa facilities comprise the Effluent Water Disposal Plant(EWDP-1), Gathering Centers : 09, 10, 20 and 22 and the Burgan facilities comprise the Effluent Water Disposal Plant (EWDP-2), Gathering Centers : 01, 02, 03, 04, 06, 07, 08, 11, 19 and 21.
The scheduled turnover date for each plant is as follows:
1) Megwa Facilities (EWDP-1) : 805 days from the date of signing the Contract
2) Burgan Facilities (EWDP-2) : 976 days
