DL E&C announced on October 18 that it will hold a ‘3GO’ contest to achieve zero accident for the remainder of this year. DL EC plans to select the best practices in line with monthly on-site safety priorities for three months until the end of this year, and expand their application.

The ‘3GO’ contest will be held under three themes: ‘Plan and Go!’ in October, ‘Check and Go!’ in November and ‘Prevent and Go!’ in December. In October, the Company will accept the best practices related to planning and implementation of daily on-site risk assessment, and prevention of unauthorized work. In November, the Company will accept practices related to the promotion and use of ‘safety report’ to discover ideas for expanding workers’ participation. In December when the winter season begins in earnest, the Company will accept the best practices for preventing fires and suffocation, and those for warm wintering.

DL E&C plans to evaluate the submitted practices and select outstanding practices for each of housing, civil engineering, and plant business every month. The evaluation will focus on the participation of members at site, the distinctiveness of the idea, and applicability to various sites. The site and the top proposer selected as excellent practice will be awarded prize money and travel points. Furthermore, the Company plans to share these excellent practices within the Company, and apply them to all possible sites.

DL E&C’s Chief Safety Officer, Gil-Po Lee, said, “In order to achieve zero accident for the remainder of this year, all workers at the site must become a safety keeper, and identify and eliminate risk factors at sites. Especially, be sure to establish a plan for on-site safety management in winter season and to implement it thoroughly.
