- Project to be branded as “North Seoul Centermark,” promising standout technical excellence

The DL E&C–Hyundai E&C consortium announced on April 28 that it has been officially selected as the main contractor for the Jangwi District 9 Public Redevelopment Project in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
The project is valued at approximately KRW 870 billion, with DL E&C holding a 60 percent stake and Hyundai E&C holding 40 percent.

The Jangwi District 9 public redevelopment project involves the construction of 2,270 apartment units and related community facilities at 238-83, Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.
DL E&C and Hyundai E&C secured the construction rights as the sole bidder at a general residents’ meeting held on April 26.

The Jangwi District 9 site is located near the Wui Stream, Jungnang Stream, and the North Seoul Dream Forest.
It offers convenient access to the Naebu Expressway and Seoul Subway Line 6, and is well-positioned to benefit from future transit developments, including the GTX-C line and Dongbuk Line.
The project is also expected to benefit from the broader Jangwi New Town redevelopment—totaling approximately 13,000 households—as well as the planned development around Gwangwoon University Station.

DL E&C and Hyundai E&C have proposed “North Seoul Centermark” as the official name of the Jangwi District 9 development.
The name reflects their vision to establish a new landmark in Jangwi-dong—a district surrounded by nature and undergoing active development.

The exterior design features a modern, refined aesthetic with a pattern that reflects the structure and balance of the surrounding urban environment.
The project emphasizes a three-dimensional façade that harmonizes with the overall landscape of the Jangwi New Town area.

North Seoul Centermark will feature high-end design elements, including 26 community facilities tailored to diverse lifestyles, a 1.5-kilometer walking trail inspired by nature, and a premium layout in which 74.49% of units adopt a four-room-wide layout that maximizes natural light and ventilation.
In addition, proprietary technologies from DL E&C and Hyundai E&C—such as noise reduction systems and smart construction management solutions—will also be applied.

A DL E&C representative stated, “Through our distinctive design approach, we aim to create a new landmark that sets the tone for the future of Jangwi New Town.”
“DL E&C plans to bid for the Hanam District 5 Housing Redevelopment Project next month, and will continue aggressive bidding efforts in other major redevelopment zones such as Apgujeong, Seongsu, and Yeouido,” the representative added.
