- Workers who participate in safety initiatives throughout April can earn up to KRW 10,000 in daily reward points.
- Incentives increased to reduce accident risks during peak construction periods
- Increased reporting last year helped drive a 30% drop in workplace accidents

DL E&C announced on April 24 that it is currently running a month-long campaign to encourage use of its safety reporting program among on-site workers.
During this period, workers who participate in safety reporting activities will receive twice the usual amount of reward points, which can be used like cash.

April marks the start of full-scale construction activity, with more workers on-site and a heightened risk of safety incidents.
Recognizing this, the Ministry of Employment and Labor has designated April as an intensive inspection period for the construction industry and is strengthening site inspections and supervision efforts.

In response to recent major accidents at construction sites, DL E&C is carrying out priority safety checks at other sites with similar construction types.
The company is also reviewing its company-wide safety manuals to better prepare for high-profile risks such as fires, collapses, and sinkholes, which have become growing public concerns.
Additionally, DL E&C is running a safety reporting campaign to help maximize accident prevention and improvements, while encouraging greater participation from workers.

During the campaign period, workers who participate in DL E&C’s safety reporting activities can earn up to 10,000 D-safe Coins per day--double the usual amount.
D-safe Coin is a point-based reward given to on-site workers who report safety issues or suggest improvements.
10,000 D-safe Coins can be exchanged for KRW 10,000 in Kakao Pay Money, which can be used like cash at shopping malls, cafés, convenience stores, and other retail locations.

DL E&C expects its safety reporting program to play a key role in preventing workplace accidents. The system, launched in 2020, allows on-site workers to report hazards and suggest safety improvements.
Since last year, the company has actively promoted worker participation through campaigns and incentive programs. These efforts have produced clear results:
DL E&C reported a 645% increase in worker-initiated safety reports and right-to-stop-work actions in 2024 compared to 2023, along with a 30% decrease in workplace accidents.

A DL E&C representative stated, “Worker participation in the safety reporting program has made a meaningful contribution to preventing accidents on-site.”
“We expect this campaign to further raise safety awareness and encourage more proactive involvement from workers, helping eliminate potential hazards and reduce the risk of incidents before they occur,” the representative added.
