Unit 10 of Taean Thermal Power Plant Starts Power Generation

Taean Thermal Power Plant’s unit 10 successfully started generating power on February 27. In commemoration of such power generation commencement, Managing Director Lee Sang-suk of Daelim’s Plant Business Division, the CEO of Korean Western Power, and the managing director of KEPCO ENC visited the site.

The power generation capacity of units 9 and 10 of Taean Thermal Power Plant is 1050MW, and the power plant is Korea’s largest coal-fired thermal power plant. Daelim was in charge of supplying 2 units of boilers — the core facility of a thermal power plant — through the consortium with Hitachi. Daelim and Samho carried out civil engineering and construction works.
