DL E&C announced on the 9th that it is actively expanding the market application of the ‘D-Silence Service’, an inter-floor noise alert system developed and commercialized for the first time in Korea. DL E&C recently released a video introducing this service to consumers through its official YouTube channel.

 

The D-Silence service sends automatic alerts to the wall pad when sensors installed on the walls of apartment living rooms and household pantries detect floor vibrations above a certain level. The service triggers an alert of ‘caution’ when vibrations that generate noise above the inter-floor noise standard set by the Ministry of Environment (39㏈(A)) occur more than three times in 10 seconds, and an alert of ‘warning’ when they occur more than six times in 10 seconds.

This service enables automatic alerts to be sent to households that exceed the inter-floor noise threshold, helping neighbors below avoid the stress of excessive noise. Additionally, the service provides statistical data on inter-floor noise alerts per unit, offering objective criteria that can aid in resolving disputes related to inter-floor noise.

 

The D-Silence service was first applied to the apartment complex of ‘e-Pyeonhansesang Wellsheim’ in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do, which opened in 2023. As a result of a survey conducted on residents, more than 80% of households said they would continue to use the service. In particular, households with young children showed higher than average satisfaction with the service.

 

Based on these commercialization results, DL E&C has begun to expand its full-scale market application. It will apply the D-Silence service to major complexes such as ‘Acro Hannam’, which was successfully contracted in May, and ‘Acro de Seocho’, which is scheduled to be sold next month. It plans to apply this service to key apartment complexes in Seongsu, Apgujeong, Yeouido, and Mokdong in the future.

 

An official from DL E&C said, “There is a lot of market interest in the D-Silence service, which is the first technology developed in Korea to differentiate noise between floors. We plan to quickly apply it to the market to meet the needs of consumers who want to escape from noise between floors.”
