DL E&C announced on the 4th that it recently conducted a creative arts education program for elementary students in Jongno-gu, Seoul in collaboration with the Daelim Cultural Foundation and Jongno-gu Office.
This program was designed for elementary students in Jongno-gu, where both DL E&C and the Daelim Cultural Foundation are located. It is a problem-solving-focused interdisciplinary curriculum that combines science and art. More than 200 elementary students from Gyodong Elementary School, Jaedong Elementary School and Dognimmun Elementary School participated in the program.
The coursework, titled ‘Kids Workroom: Animator Project’ consisted of classes for children to easily understand the production principles of animations they usually enjoyed, then to design their own stories and motions to create animation creation kits, and thereafter to present their own works.
An official from the Daelim Cultural Foundation, which organized this event, said, “It was a beneficial time for children to develop creativity, problem-solving ability and interdisciplinary thinking skills from the process of assembling a moving projector that applied scientific principles and creating animations on their own.”
Meanwhile, DL E&C continues to carry out various social contribution activities in which its employees directly participate for the mutual prosperity with local communities and sustainable environment. All employees are voluntarily participating in the Hope House Repair and Happiness Sharing Activity for vulnerable households, Love Bread Making Service, Environmental Cleanup Campaign, Acorn Tree Planting Campaign and Reduction in Carbon Footprints for reducing the use of disposable products.
An official from DL E&C said, “Like this creative arts education program, we plan to continue to carry out educational and social contribution activities so that the future generations in the local communities, where our head office and sites are located, can grow into creative talents.”
