DL E&C and LG Chem signed a contract for an ABS (Acrylonitrile, Butadiene, Styrene) reconstruction project on September 20.

The project was ordered by LG Chem to replace its worn-out production line, and DL E&C exclusively won the project. The KRW 440.4 billion project will have DL E&C building a plant that can produce 220,000 tons of ABS in the LG Chem plant site annually and performing design, equipment and materials purchase up to construction and test run.

LG Chem is the No. 1 company in terms of global market share of ABS. Stronger against shock and heat, ABS has better plasticity than general plastics, and it is mainly used for home appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners and vehicles.
