Daelim Petrochemical Business Division’s Ulsan PP (UPP) Plant Groundbreaking Ceremony

Kim Sang-woo Vice Chairman dug in the ground with the first shovel at the groundbreaking ceremony

Daelim’s Petrochemical Business Division hosted the groundbreaking ceremony for the Ulsan PP (UPP) Plant in the hinterland of Ulsan New Port on Oct. 22. Daelim has a 50% stake in the UPP Plant, which is a joint investment with PolyMirae and SK Advanced. Vice Chairman Kim Sang-woo, Petroleum Business Division Manager Kim Man-joong, Planning Executive Lee Jin-ho, Ulsan Mayor Song Cheol-ho, SK Gas President Yun Byung-seok, and PolyMirae President Martino attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

With the completion of the UPP Plant, Daelim is seen to expand its influence in the global polymer business. “Starting from today’s groundbreaking ceremony, I hope we can complete this project without any accident, and I cordially ask for local residents’ unwavering support and encouragement,” Vice Chairman Kim said in his commemorative address.
