Q. What is the Four Seasons Hotel?

Selected as the world's most luxurious hotel by the Cond？ Nast Traveler Readers' Choice Awards in 2013, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is the global hotel brand which operates 92 hotels in 38 countries around the world. Recognized for its unmatched level of expertise and experience in the industry, Daelim built the first Four Seasons hotel in Korea.

Q. What is the Sejongno hotel construction project? (Soon-ho Kwon, Site Manager)

The project is to build a Four Seasons hotel with 25 stories above the ground and 7 stories underground over 34 months. It will include 317 rooms, spa, swimming pool, banquet hall and six restaurants.

Q. What is the organization of the manpower? (Won-joon Jang, Manager)

There are up to 34 personnel specializing in construction, mechanical and electrical engineering, and safety at our site. Currently, there are 18 of us as two to three persons are assigned to each part for the takeover as the project owner.

Q. What impressed you the most about the project owner? (Ji-woon Cha, Manager)

While doing the Four Seasons project, I am impressed by the clearly defined standards in quality. They assign a manager to oversee the operation during the project. They voiced their opinions and for instance, the shower trenches in the room are normally 1 meter wide. We realized that it doesn't have to be that wide for maintenance reasons.

Q. What is your new hobby? (Dong-kyun Kang, Staff)

As I've been working in hotel finishing, I am interested in how each hotel is finished and designed. So I take tours of different hotels.

Q. What is the best thing about the site? (Sang-eun Park, Staff)

The best part of this work is the people we are working with. They have extensive experience in hotel projects. Many of them have worked at the Conrad Hotel in Yeouido and H2 Hotel in Incheon and they incorporated their know-how into this project.

Q. What is the best thing about the site? (Dong-kyun Kang, Staff)

All the guests and operation staff are impressed by the views that overlook the Gyeongbokgung street, the Blue House and mountains in the North. I'd like to enjoy the views when I stay here in the future.

Q. What does the Four Seasons hotel mean to you? (Won-joon Jang, Manager)

It is the model house of Daelim. Four Seasons hotels are part of the most luxurious hotel brand in the world and it can represent our company in the future.

Q. What does the Four Seasons hotel mean to you? (Dong-kyun Kang, Staff)

The Four Seasons hotel is one of our major achievements in Gwanghwamun because we undertook the renovation projects for Kyobo Life and Sejong Center for the Performing Arts as well as the D-Tower project.

Q. What does the Four Seasons hotel mean to you? (Soon-ho Kwon, Site Manager)

It is my graduation project because I used everything I learned while working for the company. I can say it is my best work so far.
