DL E&C was selected as a qualified working design company for construction projects (civil works) in section 1 of the complex development for the underground space of Yeongdong-Daero. Ordered by the Seoul Metropolitan Infrastructure Headquarters, the project involves building a complex transfer station connecting GTX-A and C and Wirye-Sinsa Line in the 1km section from Bongeunsa Temple Station (Line No. 9) to Samseong Station (Line No. 2), and it has four zones. Zone 1 consists of a 138m complex transfer center and an 80m tunnel. The construction period is 84 months, and the contract amount is KRW 248.0 billion (VAT-exclusive; DL E&C’s stake: 55% or KRW 136.3 billion).

As Korea’s largest underground space development project, this construction is shaping a futuristic public transportation hub connecting GTX-A and C, Wirye-Sinsa Line, and Subway Line Nos. 2 and 9. Aside from offering convenience to citizens and linking the future GBC project, this project is expected to be the transportation, commercial, and business hub. The technological capabilities of the Civil Engineering Division have been recognized by winning this project in Seoul Metropolitan Wide Area Express Railroad projects following the Samsung-Dongtan Zone 2 and GTX-A. The division is determined to complete this project with zero accidents and zero defects through intensive safety and quality control along with smooth construction performance.
