The floor impact sound site performance grade is measured
at the Pyeongtaek apartment construction site in Gyeonggi-do.
DL E&C performed floor impact performance evaluation on August 10 on a D-silent floor structure developed by the company in an apartment construction site, receiving the best performance grade as the first-ever construction company to do so.
LH carried out floor impact sound performance evaluation using a bang machine, an impact ball, and a tapping machine at the Gyeonggi-do Pyeongtaek e-Pyunhan Sesang apartment construction site at the end of July. According to the evaluation result, the floor structure received grade 1 for light impact sound and grade 2 for heavy stuff impact sound. The grade 2 for heavy stuff impact as a site performance evaluation standard corresponds to the best performance in Korea, and DL E&C is the first company to have garnered such grade.
The D-silent floor structure has been completed by integrating 12 noise reduction patented technologies and inputting doctoral degree holder researchers in the construction structure and material field and sound experts. If most existing apartments are rated grade 4 for heavy stuff impact sound, the noise that humans can feel can be reduced by half in comparison with grade 4 (48~50dB). The D-silent floor structure was recognized for its noise blocking performance through the experiment at an actual construction site, not in a technology Lab. The D-silent floor structure is expected to contribute to easing complaints from apartment residents regarding the noise between floors.
