410,000 MTY mPE Plant Site Completes Major Processes

The 410,000 MTY mPE Plant site successfully completed the major processes of the project including the installation of gas phase reactor, replacement of the main transformer (154kV), and power energizing within Yeosu Yongseong Plant over 9 days from Sep. 20 to 28. The site completed installation and replacement quickly over 9 days when three companies were shut down within the Yongseong Plant including PMC and KRCC located east and west of the project site. The 410,000 MTY mPE Plant project is the one to save production cost by expanding the LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene) output of YEOCHUN NCC No. 2 Plant’s existing Yongseong Plant from 160,000MTY to 410,000 MTY. The ethylene output will increase from 580KTA to 915KTA through the expansion process. By applying the m-PE license technology of Daelim Petrochemical’s Biz Division, the reactor and follow-up facility are to be installed and verified.
