Sejong National Arboretum Site Completed

The Sejong National Arboretum obtained use approval from the Korea Forest Service on June 12. Kicking off on July 18, 2016, construction was successfully completed in 47 months. The Site was a project involving the construction of 17 buildings and 19 exhibition centers including research building, four-season exhibition greenhouse, Korean traditional garden, and rare special botanical garden in a 650,000㎡ (200,000 pyeong) area around Central Arboretum-ro, Yeongi-myeon, Sejong Special Self-Governing City. The Arboretum is the third national arboretum following National Arboretum (Gwangreung) and Baekdudaegan National Arboretum (Bonghwa, Gyeonggbuk) and is the first national arboretum to be located at a city center.
