DL E&C Signs MOU for Electrical Safe Building Certification Business

DL E&C signed an MOU on September 13 to disseminate the electrical safe building certification business with KESCO as the first private construction company to do so. The MOU signing ceremony was held at the construction site that received the certification. DL E&C Housing Biz Division Director Gwon Soo-young and KESCO Technology Director Kim Gwon-joong attended the ceremony. DL E&C and KESCO plan to cooperate on the following through the electrical safe building certification business: apartment electric fire reduction model development, devising of common standards for the relevant system in line with the enforcement of the Korean Electrical Facility Regulations and Electrical Safety Management Act, green remodeling support in the Korean-version New Deal, and collaboration on special training for the apartment safety manager’s electrical accident prevention.
As a system operated by KESCO, the electrical safe building certification seeks to certify the design construction level of 30 items in the safety, convenience, and efficiency fields related to electrical facilities to prevent apartments’ electrical facility breakdown and improve apartment residents’ convenience. Apartments receiving the certification can avail themselves of post-mobilization service support for electrical accidents by KESCO. DL E&C plans to increase the electrical safe building certification for apartments gradually.
